Podium Fabrication was founded in 2023 by Brian Scarbrough, bringing more than two decades of hands-on experience in the off-road industry to the company.
Brian began his career in 2003, building high-performance off-road race vehicles and developing his skills in fabrication, vehicle assembly, design and development. Over the course of his career, he has personally built more than 165 modern off-road chassis across both race and recreational applications.
After two decades of building vehicles for others, Brian decided it was time to take that experience and create something of his own.
Podium Fabrication was born.
Podium started with a simple idea: build off-road vehicles the way we believed they should be built.
From the beginning, that vision has been brought to life by a team of talented people who share the same passion for craftsmanship, performance and attention to detail.
Rather than focusing on individual components, we approach each vehicle as a complete system. Chassis, suspension, plumbing, wiring, cooling, ergonomics and serviceability all need to work together to create a vehicle that performs where it matters—in the real world.
That approach led to the development of our own purpose-built sand and race vehicles. As those cars made their way into the desert, Podium grew with them—adding talented people, equipment and capabilities while continuing to refine what a Podium-built vehicle could be.
Today, every vehicle that leaves our shop represents the combined effort of our entire team.
In 2026, that growth brought Podium into our new approximately 12,000 sq. ft. facility in Lakeside, California.
The additional space gives our team the ability to continue designing and producing our own vehicles while expanding into complete race and recreational vehicle prep, suspension blueprinting, shock service and rebuilding, maintenance and vehicle setup.
Those services aren't limited to Podium-built vehicles. Whether we're building a complete car from the ground up or preparing an existing vehicle for its next race or desert trip, we bring the same approach to everything that comes through our doors:
Make it perform. Make it reliable. Make it ready.
Competition has always been a major part of Brian's life.
Alongside his career in the off-road industry, Brian spent over a decade competing as a professional endurance athlete, even clinching a Mountain Bike National Championship along the way.
That experience helped shape a mindset that became part of Podium's culture.
In racing, results rarely come from one big thing. They come from preparation, consistency and getting hundreds of small details right.
It's a philosophy shared throughout our team and reflected in the way we approach every vehicle we build, develop or prepare.
And it's ultimately what the Podium name represents.
Podium has come a long way since 2023, and that growth wouldn't have been possible without the people behind it.
Our team continues to grow alongside our capabilities, but our focus remains the same: build better vehicles, continue developing what we create and never stop looking for ways to improve.
We're proud of what we've built together, excited about what's ahead, and we're just getting started.
